This is really one of my favorite little dioramas!! I had acquired my Palm Desert Jaguar, and for a number of months originally displayed him with my Big Cats (of course). Because of his pose he was pretty much a stand-alone entity even among the other Cats. When I saw these tiny crystal mice, I knew it would be quite whimsical (or maybe it was cynical) to place them in such precarious proximity to a Big Cat!!

Obviously, they would’ve had to be blind to not be aware of the immediate danger they were in, and to have them being oblivious to the scenario presented such an interesting visual, I had to be able to look at it with consistency!! (smile) That diorama lasted for quite some time until in December 1994, I received a cute little gift from my former Graphic Design Teammates at James River Corp. in Norwalk, CT.

The Little Red Radio is actually a Christmas Ornament and really works, playing a recorded message from my team!! This 4 ½-inch tall piece gives you some idea of the miniature stature of the three Mice (smile). I definitely had to do a take on the famous book, “Of Mice & Men” by John Steinbeck and called this “Of Mice & Music”, yeah Jodie, I thought it was clever. (smile)

I once again was drifting through another store and saw the little mouse sitting atop a piece of cheese!! Who makes these things outta glass for cryin’ out loud?? (ha,ha,ha,ha) There was simply no way I was gonna leave that piece sitting on the shelf, so that little creature joined his brethren, able to forever be appearing to “party like it’s 1999!!”
